Full Stack Software Engineer

Aktiun is currently looking for a full stack software engineer to join our team on a full-time basis.

We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including UI design, data visualization, information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, security, artificial intelligence; the list goes on and is growing every day. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to tackle new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push our technology forward.

What you’d get to do:
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
Keep software components loosely coupled as we grow
Contribute improvements to our continuous delivery infrastructure
Participate in recruiting and mentoring of top engineering talent
Drive an independent project and get your idea into the product!

What we care about:
Self-motivation, humility, and pride in workmanship
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience, plus at least 3 years’ professional experience
Software development experience in a team environment using distributed source control, continuous integration, and code quality analysis tools
Experience with common patterns, frameworks and tools - like Spring, REST, OSGi, Java 8 lambda functions, Node, Flux, React, AngularJS, git, npm, grunt, gulp, gradle - and anything else you think is the latest and greatest
Object-oriented and functional programming experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points:
Master’s degree in Computer Science
Experience with Docker or public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google, IBM, etc)
Publicly visible code samples or an open-source project
