Bilingual Patient Coordinato
r to join our client's ophthalmology practice. This role is responsible for delivering a welcoming front desk experience, conducting thorough patient intake in both English and Spanish, and supporting clinical and administrative workflows. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and manage front desk check-in in a professional, welcoming manner
Conduct bilingual (English/Spanish) patient intake and ensure all forms and records are complete and accurate
Collect, verify, and update insurance information; perform basic eligibility checks
Assist patients with understanding co-pays, coverage basics, and required documentation
Coordinate with billing and administrative teams to resolve insurance or information issues
Prepare patients for ophthalmology visits by gathering symptoms, vision concerns, and medical eye history
Communicate patient information and concerns clearly to clinical staff and providers
Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical front desk, patient intake, or similar role is required in ophthalmology is a MUST.
Candidates without this experience will not be considered
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Familiarity with insurance verification and eligibility processes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a pay rate of $7 – $8 per hour depending on skillset and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM PST.
