Job overview:
We are looking for a junior product manager to join our team as we continue to enhance our product offerings across all of our rapidly growing consumer applications. As a member of our product & design team you will be part of a close-knit, distributed team that works on our iOS, Android Mobile, TV, and web applications. You will be working directly with our head of product and design, as well as our web, mobile, and backend engineering teams to go to market with products and enhancements that help users make streaming easier. As part of this role, you’ll conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to prioritize our roadmap, develop product funnels for optimization, define and report product metrics, and help with QA. Due to the small size of our current product team as well as rapid user & company growth you will have an enormous impact on the future of Reelgood and the streaming world.

Qualified Candidates Will Possess
- Degree or bootcamp in product management and/or business management, finance, communication, computer science, marketing and other related field of studies.
- 2-5 years experience as an analyst, project manager, and/or product manager.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative user research/analytics tools: usertesting.com, google analytics, mixpanel, conducting user interviews
- Experience with project management, from definition, through build phases, and on to delivery in a timely fashion.
- Comfortable working across consumer iOS, Android, TV apps, and/or web experiences
- Ability to define projects and metrics that help us strike a balance between market forces, business goals, and user experience
- Understanding of consumer application tech stack from backend to client side. No coding experience needed, just a grasp of how a consumer application is built and delivered.
- Comfortable communicating with marketing, design, business, and engineering teams to keep projects on track, properly defined, and laser focused.
- Ability to manage without authority through listening, clear communication, and consensus building.
- Highly detail oriented
- Works well autonomously and can own a project end-to-end
Not Required But Preferred
- Prior experience with a consumer product, especially a search or discovery experience
- Passion for movies, tv & streaming experiences is a bonus
- Experience on an agile, remote tech/product team
Job Responsibilities Include
- Work directly with head of product to prioritize and execute product roadmap
- Conduct product audits to unearth pain points and QA issues to add to the roadmap and ensure the quality of our consumer experience.
- Conduct competitive and industry analysis to identify and propose product improvement initiatives.
- Work with our customer support team to assess and prioritize product related inquiries and questions from customers.
- Assist in qualitative and quantitative user research to prioritize product enhancements
- Track new features and enhancements to measure success.
- Work with our data team to define, track, and report on key product metrics.
- Liaise with streaming, publishing, business, and other partners to ensure partner product success.
- Work with marketing teams to plan, develop and implement product marketing strategies.
- Define funnels (i.e. user sign ups) and A/B testing plans to optimize.
