The Job
This position consists of 2 parts: learning and creating.
In this position you will be asked to learn at a fast pace and about a wide variety of subjects such as: the best practices the industry has developed, about new technologies (like Haskell) and about many more subjects that we find really important (like functional programming, test driven development, how to communicate better and how to shape business products). So if you love reading, learning and sharing your knowledge with others, this is the right place to be.
The second part of the job consists of creating clean and easy to maintain code up to our client’s standards.
Developers are also required to train others, communicate effectively with clients and overall participate in our internal initiatives.
What is the team expecting?
Members of our team should be able to adapt to different and exciting projects. Since we’re a software consultancy, the projects that we handle will challenge you and allow you to look at problems from a different point of view. As the technologies you use can change greatly from project to project, we expect you to keep learning and updating your knowledge.
In addition, members of our team are happy contributing to open source projects regularly, creating and publishing tutorials, and sharing their knowledge in our Quito Lambda meetup. We value people interested in the chance to connect and contribute to create a stronger software community.

Note: This is an On-Site position, open to candidates who wish to work at our Quito - Ecuador office (Candidates who are looking to relocate will need to show strong skills using at least one of our core programming languages).
What will I need to succeed?
A completed university degree in any discipline is mandatory; regardless of the major, candidates need to prove a strong theoretical background in programming in general.
Engineers who are close to graduation are welcome to apply, we would be able to offer an internship at the company if successful.
We will ask you to show examples of your work that we can evaluate. In order to be considered for an interview, please include a link to your GitHub profile or a similar link where we can find code you are authorized to share as your portfolio. We respect copyrights and intellectual property, so be aware that we will report any case where portfolio material is shared if you do not have authorization.
Candidates should have a good understanding of English (Advanced). You will be asked to speak, write, and understand conversations in English through the interview process and every day at work if hired.
Candidates should be interested in learning how to build maintainable object-oriented and functional programs.
Contributions to open-source and knowledge of DevOps are a great plus.
The position is open for our office in Quito - Ecuador. (Candidates who are looking to relocate will need to show strong skills using at least one of our core programming languages).
