The Job:
Review and assess the risk of changes throughout the release process and ensure quality, while automating Build & Release functions in pre-production and production environments.
Maintenance of servers deployed in the Cloud.
Support during deployment to the cloud. Debug issues in production, roll back if needed.
Collaborate with developers and product owners to construct the servers and architecture needed to deploy an application to the Cloud.
Help with office IT infrastructure, including TCP/IP configuration, Asterisk/FreePBX, and maintenance of MacOS and Linux workstations as necessary.

Who are we?
Stack Builders is an Agile software consultancy based in New York, with offices in Quito, Ecuador. Our portfolio includes an app to control public light installations on the NYC skyline, ticketing platforms for the tourism industry, building a mobile banking system from the ground up, and enhancing high-traffic financial platforms.
What will you need to succeed?
Knowledge in Unix-like (GNU/Linux) operations systems
Unix-like architecture knowledge, such as file descriptors, sockets, stdin/stdout.
The terminal, (Bash-like shell) and SSH.
Standard utilities: tar, gzip, man pages, grep, top, netstat and others.
Bash scripting, and if possible another programming language for systems like Ruby, Python or Perl.
Experience with CI/CD Automation and Release Management with related tools, branching and other DevOps best practices.
Experience working or willing to learn Ansible, Puppet and Chef, Terraform, and deployment tools like Capistrano.
Hands-on knowledge of source control management systems (preferably Git) with code branching/merging strategies.
Strong communications skills.
It is a plus if you know cryptography/security basics.
