Api Integration Specialist

The API Integration Specialist focuses in integrating enterprise applications to maintain and update client reporting platforms. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing business processes by seamlessly connecting various systems through SQL queries, CSV file transfers and API integrations. The Specialist exhibits a strong technical background, a keen eye for detail and a passion for streamlining data flow across complex enterprise environments. Workday is the College's primary enterprise resource planning system.  Qualifications Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) processes Hands-on experience with CSV file manipulation, data parsing and transformation techniques Basic programming skills and familiarity with languages such as Python, Java or others used for API development Experience with API integration tools and frameworks (e.g., REST, SOAP, GraphQL, Postman, Insomnia, etc.) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Minimum of 2 years' experience in enterprise application integration, including designing SQL queries, managing CSV file transfers and building API interactions Responsibilities Design, develop and implement SQL queries to extract data from multiple source systems, ensuring data accuracy and optimal performance Create and manage efficient CSV file transfer processes to move data between various systems while maintaining data integrity and security Build, test and maintain API integrations to facilitate real-time data exchange between different applications and platforms Troubleshoot and resolve any integration-related issues, ensuring smooth data flow and uninterrupted business processes Develop documentation for integration processes, including technical specifications if needed, data mapping and standard operating procedures Monitor integration performance and proactively address any performance bottlenecks or issues that may arise Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to application integration, data management and security
