Health And We Villages Manager

Responsabilities :

• Supervise a team of Alternative Income, Healthand Food Security and coordinators and supervisors, their work plans and schedules, and provide guidance and training
• Project management of a variety of community development projects including clinics, health promotion workshops, women’s groups, extracurricular programs for students, amongst other programs.
• Coordinate, translate, and submit reports across all pillars of Free The Children community development – both within and from outside the organization
• An extra emphasis in helping to determine the overall direction of Free The Children’s health programming in Ecuador, both in the Amazon and the Sierra
• Build strong ties between Free The Children and the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education, along with other government partners
• Be responsible and authorized the petty cash fund for our Amazon projects & staff.
• Develop medical teaching materials for health trainings for local community members
• Develop reports for donors and other stakeholders, both within and from outside the organization
• Organize medical trips with medical professional foreign volunteers.
• Create and maintain a medical record for staff members

Profile Requirements:
• Fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken
• 3+ years of project & team management experience
• A degree and 3+ years of professional experience in a health related field – medicine, nursing
• Ability to be based out of our staff accommodations located in the Amazon
• High-level functionality in Microsoft Office
• A passion for creating change for rural indigenous communities
• Drive license and drive standard vehicle.
