Objective of the position: To create and implement the local procurment strategy assuring goods and services are efficiently purchased to comply with organisation objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute in creating a corporate culture that is based upon open communication, respect, transparency and a high level of professionalism across the Region and the employees. Provide positive leadership and energy in support of YPH’s goal to be a Top 10 Global Operator by 2025.
Identify suppliers, compare prices, terms and delivery dates to determine the optimum one to utilize, responding to internal and supplier inquiries, reviewing requisition orders to verify accuracy, specifications and terminology.
Liaise with budget holders /purchase requestors to plan purchasing activities, deliver cost reductions, quality improvements, or security of supply outcomes.
Prepare procurement execution plans and oversee the full array of materials management and procurement functions of purchasing, expediting, shipping, receipt and inspections, and logistics.
Prepare, implement and review the local Procurement Strategies, KPI´s, policies and procedures aligned to the ones of the Holding.Education level:
Bachelor’s Degree. (master’s Degree is a plus)
Education Degree:
Engineering, Business Administration, Economics and related fields.
Work Experience:
10 years
Specific Work Experience:
5 years in similar level function, managing direct reports
5 years in procurement positions or related fields.
Work experience in port or logistics industry preferably but not mandatory.
Foreign Language:
Advanced English (speaking and writing)
Specific Knowledge/Informatic systems:
Advanced Microsoft Office.
ERPs knowledge: Preferably SAP (is a plus)
Purchasing, negotiation techniques and management of tenders
Knowledge of Contract Management, Supplier Evaluation Systems, Frame Agreements.
KPI creation and implementation, focused on money saving and efficiency.
Knowledge of maintenance preferable.
International trade and logistics knowledge.
Skills/Competences:
Excellent managements and leadership skills. Focused and target driven with a positive, can-do attitude.
Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Solid organizational and follow up skills and multitasking.
Open to changes
